講座人簡介：Mary Clare Tuohy簡歷：1978年維吉尼亞聯邦大學音樂史與鋼琴本科畢業，獲學士學位。1981年，美國印第安納大學民俗學與音樂人類學系民間族藝術專業碩士畢業，獲碩士學位。1983年，美國維吉尼亞聯邦大學中國現代歷史與民間文學專業博士畢業，1988年，美國印第安納大學民俗學與音樂人類學系民間文藝與民族音樂專業畢業，獲雙博士學位。曾任美國民俗協會年會主席。美國印第安納大學民俗學與音樂人類學系，音樂人類學研究所主任，博士生導師。美國印第安納大學民俗學與音樂人類學系研究生招生委員會主席以及中美民俗學與非物質文化遺產論壇顧問委員會委員等。

研究方向：音樂人類學、民俗學研究，民族志研究的理論與方法，學術史，非物質遺產理論研究。民間音樂、旅游與文化、文化展示、文化政策、音樂與民族主義。中國的民俗和音樂、中國藝術與文化的多樣性、中國西北研究、西北花兒研究，中國的電影與音樂
